Photo by @jeredgruber ?A bike is the perfect way to see the world,? says photographer Jered Gruber (@jeredgruber), whose love for cycling has taken him around the world to document bike races and riders. ?During a race, I?ll try to find the prettiest spot. So I make the scene, and then the race happens within it. But getting the photos are difficult ? there?s so much going on and so little time to think. You don?t get another try.? Recently, Jered headed to Italy for La Maratona dles Dolomites, an 86-mile (138-kilometer) race with 13,878 feet (4,230 meters) of climbing through the country?s northeastern mountain range. In his photos from the race, he tried to capture the feeling he himself gets on a bike: ?That moment of, ?This is incredible, and I can?t think of any place I?d rather be. Today on our story: head out for a ride with Jered at La Maratona.
