Photo by @dobleufa ?There is something about the availability of paper that made me start working with it without even noticing. Paper is EVERYWHERE,? says paper-cutting artist Noe Arata (@dobleufa). ?I began folding origami as a young teen and evolved from there. Curiosity made me want to test the possibilities, and years later, I still haven?t found the limits of paper.? While one of Noe?s small pieces may take a few hours, larger, detailed compositions take anywhere from 15 to 50 hours. ?What I enjoy the most about creating paper art is the conversation that takes place between the idea I have in mind and the paper. The creative process is what keeps me going ? deciding on colors, material, finding out different construction methods.? Noe lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, with her husband where they?ll be celebrating the holidays. ?For us, holidays mean scorching heat, big meetings with friends, family and champagne (preferably on a terrace or in a backyard). I must admit I?ve fantasized about a cozy holiday in a woodsy town, crafting by the fire, my whole life.? ? See more of Noe?s process today on our story.
